Hello, I’m Florrie

I'm a London-based art dealer specialising in 20th and 21st Century British pictures, sculpture and ceramics. I curate selling exhibitions throughout the year both online and in gallery pop-ups, including the Decorative Fair in Battersea.

Here you will find a selection of my current stock, which can also be viewed by appointment. The gallery's inventory is constantly changing, offering a range of art from introductory-level to pieces of particular acclaim. I welcome enquiries from collectors new and old, discreetly advising, helping to develop, catalogue and steer collections. I’m proud to have sold art to a number of museums and galleries, including The National Trust. My advice comes with candour, academic rigour, commercial experience and most importantly, a love and knowledge of art.

I hold degrees from Brasenose College, Oxford University (Eng. Lit. BA MA OXON) and The Courtauld Institute of Art (MA), with a background in Old Masters, 19th & 20th Century art. I spent seven years as a Specialist in British Pictures & Old Masters at Christie’s auction house, and a decade as Director of the leading old master portrait dealership, The Weiss Gallery, before heading up The Fine Art Society, in London.

I’ve curated numerous independent exhibitions alongside art dealing, and have broadcasting experience with podcasts, radio and television, including the BBC4 series, ‘A Stitch in Time’. I’m a seasoned public speaker, on panels and individually, and have written for journals such as Apollo Magazine.

My personal passions include bringing forgotten women artists to light, historical costume, and mudlarking the River Thames for artefacts that reveal London’s rich social history (@flo_finds).

There is no greater joy for me than the discovery of hidden gems - whether that’s by the river, in an archive, working directly with artists and artists’ estates, or out and about on private valuations, at auctions, antiques fairs and markets. I spend my time looking for art - for you.
