Born Marjorie Blackmore, 1916, in Colombo, Ceylon, as it then was. Studied at the RAM in
London before moving to Alexandria, Egypt, about 1940. There she joined a group of artists,
found her own studio, showed locally. With the Suez Crisis of 1956, she moved to England,
and trained, and worked as an art teacher. After her marriage to Aristide Papageorge, whom
she had met in Alexandria, he joined her in London. She died in 2015, aged 99.
